Made from durable high-strength webbing with heavy-duty snap hooks, it ensures secure anchorage and long-lasting use. The external shock absorber reduces impact forces during a fall, providing added safety on the job. Our safety lanyards are ANSI tested and are OSHA compliant, delivering trusted protection for construction, roofing, and industrial workers.

Lanyard Type: 6FT single-leg flat web lanyard with external shock absorber
Energy Absorption: External shock pack designed to reduce arrest forces during a fall
Usage: Ideal for fall arrest in construction, maintenance, and elevated work environments
Material & Hardware: Durable flat polyester webbing with forged steel snap hook connectors
ANSI Compliance: Meets ANSI/ASSE Z359.13-2013 standards
OSHA Compliance: OSHA 1910 & OSHA 1926 Subpart M compliant for workplace safety
  1. Shock Absorbers

Shock absorbers minimize fall impact by reducing force, enhancing safety in fall protection systems.

  2. Leg Style

Single-leg and double-leg styles offer flexibility for anchoring and movement on the jobsite.

  3. Connector Type

Snap hooks and rebar hooks provide secure, reliable connections to anchors and harnesses.

  4. Design

Durable polyester webbing and reinforced stitching ensure strength and long-term performance.

  5. All-Day Performance

Built tough with rugged webbing and a reinforced stitching closure for long-lasting performance.

  • What is a safety lanyard used for?

A safety lanyard is used in fall protection systems to connect a worker’s harness to an anchor point, preventing falls or minimizing injury during a fall.

  • What are the OSHA requirements for lanyards?

OSHA requires safety lanyards to limit fall arrest forces to 1,800 lbs, be compatible with approved anchor points, and include shock absorbers if used in fall arrest systems. Must meet OSHA 1910 and 1926 standards.

  • What is the difference between Type 1 and Type 2 lanyards?

Type 1 lanyards are designed for anchor points at or above the dorsal D-ring. Type 2 lanyards are for anchors below the D-ring and offer extra shock absorption for longer fall distances.

  • Do safety lanyards expire?

Safety lanyards don’t have an OSHA-mandated expiration date, but most should be replaced every 5 years—or sooner if deployed, damaged, or fail inspection. Follow ANSI Z359.13 and OSHA guidelines for proper inspection and replacement.

  • Which safety lanyard is recommended?

The best safety lanyard depends on your job. For fall arrest, use a shock-absorbing lanyard (Type 2). For positioning, choose a non-shock lanyard (Type 1). Always ensure ANSI Z359.13 and OSHA compliance for maximum safety.
